Summary:

The Members’ Guarantees Act puts into Tsawwassen law the guarantees to Members voted upon at the General Assembly on July 7, 2007. Those guarantees ensure that the interests of Members will be honoured by Tsawwassen Government.

The vote on July 7 required that the guarantees be made part of the laws of TFN, and this Act does that. This means that they are biding on the Legislature and Executive Council, and all employees. The guarantees cannot be changed by the legislature. They can only be changed by a vote of members with a 2/3 majority supporting a change.
