On April 3, 2009, the Treaty Department was dissolved and the staff have transitioned to other departments within the organization. Two departments have been created since the Effective Date to provide operational and policy support to Tsawwassen Government. The Government Services Department is responsible for supporting the institutions of Tsawwassen Government such as the Tsawwassen Legislature, Executive Council, Advisory Council, and Judicial Council. They are also responsible for supporting the implementation of the Tsawwassen Treaty across the government, for the management and administration of files, the management of the Tsawwassen Registry and other government records, and the eligibility and enrolment function.
